CMA CGM expands China inland services

CMA CGM is strengthening its inland service in China through a new joint venture with CIMC Modern Logistics at the north China port city of Tianjin.

The new jv, CMA CGM Inland Services Tianjin, will be the first inland operation centre for CMA CGM in China.

“CMA CGM provides its customers with a comprehends door-to-door and eco-friendly inland solution combing train, barge and truck for seamless continental connections. This new joint venture with CIMC is a milestone for CMA CGM China as it is the very first inland operation centre that we are opening in China,” said Ludovic Renou, ceo of CMA CGM China.

The company said CMA CGM Inland Services Tianjin depot integrates the highest standard of environmental protection, including more efficient water usage and hygienic wastewater treatment.

It said the Tianjin depot is a milestone toward CMA CGM’s 2050 carbon neutrality objective.
