The ports of Tianjin, Xiamen and Shenzhen all posted a growth rate of over 10%.
Export volumes at the eight major ports increased 8.9% year-on-year, among which, Xiamen port and Shenzhen port posted over 20% growth rate.
Cargo throughput of major coastal ports increased 2.3% year-on-year, and export cargo throughput increased 3.5%.
Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports increased 18.8% year-on-year, among which the port of Ningbo-Zhoushan, Rizhao and Dalian posted over 20% growth rate.
Metal ore imports slowed down in mid-September, and the metal ore shipments at major Chinese ports declined 0.8% year-on-year. The port inventory also declined 8%.
In mid-September, the cargo throughput at three major ports Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqing along Yangtze river increased 0.2% year-on-year while the container volume increased 11.8%.
