The data, which covers April 11-20, showed container volume at eight major Chinese ports increased 17.8% year-on-year, while export container volume increased 22.3%.
The port of Ningbo-Zhoushan posted a growth rate over 30%; the port of Shanghai, Xiamen and Shenzhen all posted a growth rate over 20%.
Cargo throughput at major coastal hub ports increased 7% while the international trade cargo throughput increased 5.8%.
Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports slightly increased 2.9%. The port of Yantai posted a growth rate of over 20%.
Metal ore shipments at major Chinese ports declined 0.7% while port inventories increased 10%.
For mid-April, cargo throughput and container volume at three major Yangtze river ports, Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqing, increased 11.2% and 21.7% respectively.
