On-Demand Webinar Recording Now Available: Accelerating Digitalization –AI in the Supply Chain

The third webinar of TOC Digital ‘Accelerating Digitalization’ series – in association with maritime street, took place on 23rd September 2020.

Providing insights from an expert panel including Baladji Soussilane – Chief Information Officer at Bolloré Transport & Logistics, Cedric Rosemont – CEO at Next4, Nidhi Gupta – CEO at Portcast, Jussi Poikonen, - Vice President of AI & Analytics at Awake.AI and Pascal Ollivier – President of maritime street, viewers learned more about how to futureproof their business strategies, operations and efficiency through the increased use of AI.

In a recent survey, only 12% of supply chain professionals said that they were using AI within their operations.

This is a very small amount but when you consider that 60% in the same survey said that will be using some form of AI within the next 5 years, we are about to witness an explosion of intelligent technologies being integrated into operations.

Why are we witnessing this shift towards AI?

AI can bring unprecedented levels of improvements, accuracy, efficiency and value into supply chain operations.

The AI debate takes on more significance when you consider the impact that COVID-19 will have to supply chain operating models in the future, where we have seen the acceleration of digital technologies exponentially introduced into operations.

Hot topics that are discussed:

Over the course of the on-demand webinar, discussions will focus on:

  • The benefits integration of AI technologies can bring to supply chain operations
  • What the drawbacks of AI are
  • The ongoing debate surrounding the use and sharing of data and the financial, security, and operational complications implications that need to be addressed
  • How the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for AI tech within operations
