The sponsorship and new livery for the Renault F1 car were revealed in Melbourne on Wednesday ahead of the opening race of the season in the Australian city on Sunday.
With DP World as a global logistics partner Renault is keen to explore ways to reduce the environmental impact of its F1 team as the Formula One racing series aims to be fully carbon neutral by 2030.
We expect that working with DP World will reveal opportunities for tangible solutions to some of the logistical challenges faced by our F1 team's supply chain and by extension, the automotive industry at a larger scale. We also look forward to cross-fertilising our engineering skills through shared innovation,” said Jérôme Stoll, Renault Sport Racing chairman.
DP World sees the partnership as providing the opportunity to innovate in the area of automotive logistics.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, group chairman and ceo of DP World, said: "One of our strategic objectives has been to develop innovative logistics solutions for the automotive sector. This partnership is a first step in the exploration of ways to make the global automotive supply chain more efficient by lowering costs, increasing speed and transparency, and mitigating the environmental impact."
Renault F1 team came fifth in the F1 constructor standings last year.
