Guangzhou port signed Letter of Intent for sister port cooperation with Alexandria port in Egypt.

The number of sister ports cooperating with Guangzhou reached 54.

Since from 2003, Guangzhou port has established sister port cooperations with Port of Durban in South Africa, Lagos in Nigeria and Port of Dakar in the Republic of Senegal.

Guangzhou port is the hub container trading port connecting with Africa in China, said Yuan Yue, deputy director of Guangzhou Port Authority.

Guangzhou port currently operates six liner services to Suez of Egypt, importing 20,000 tons of cargo from Egypt and exporting 440,000 tons of cargo to Egypt in 2020.
