The new office is the fifth overseas office Guangzhou port has established, following America, Europe, Singapore and Taiwan.
The Vietnam office is designed to better link the port with Belt and Road Initiative countries and improve Guangzhou port’s position in overseas market.
The group expects the new office to further act as bridge in the region to support economy and trade cooperation between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Vietnam.
Guangzhou port is the largest hub port in South China and handled 465.46m cargo throughput last year.
