Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), operated by International Container Terminal Services, Inc’s (ICTSI) Port of Karachi, marked a milestone with the handling of its 10-millionth teu since commencing operations in 2002

“This hallmark achievement is a result of synchronised efforts and dedication of our entire team, along with the fortifying partnership and cohesion we enjoy with our esteemed customers, who are among the key elements of our successful operations,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT Chief Executive Officer.

“The 10 millionth teu milestone is PICT’s expression of commitment to supporting the economic resilience of the country. Our vision to become the container terminal of choice in Pakistan’s busiest port city resonates with our conscious efforts and actions towards improving the ease of doing business, promoting digitalisation, and provision of efficient customer services to our clientele,” added Khurram Aziz Khan.

PICT has ranked among the top 25 companies at the Pakistan Stock Exchange five times, topped the Corporate Excellence Awards for the past consecutive years, and has been recognised for adherence to industry best management practices.

Operating Berths 6 to 9 at the East Wharf of the Karachi Port, Pakistan International Container Terminal is the preferred terminal for the Indian subcontinent trade routes. The common-use terminal offers excellent connections to Central Asia, Afghanistan, and the Western China hinterlands.
