The contract is for the delivery of 39 Konecranes SMV 2216 TC3 reachstackers with modifications to allow for the stacking of 22-tonne, 16-tonne and six-tonne containers.

“This was a long-negotiated contract that involved many people across the organisation, and we are pleased with the result and grateful for the work done with our partner, Richter Fördertechnik GmbH & Co. KG,” said Ralf Gowin, sales manager Germany for Konecranes Lift Trucks,

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2020 and will run until the first quarter of 2021.

“We are honoured to have received this, our largest reachstacker order ever. Germany is a very important market for us and this particular order shows great trust in our service support. The cooperation with Richter was key to the awarding of this contract," commented Patrik Starck, regional sales director Europe at Konecranes Lift Trucks.
