Ningbo-Zhoushan port has inked a service agreement with Brazilian Vale to jointly develop a new iron ore product, GF88, at Shulanghu terminal, Zhoushan.

According to the agreement, Ningbo-Zhoushan port will provide a package service for Vales’ new product, including site construction, processing, loading and storage.

The first GF88 product is scheduled for launching in the first quarter of 2020.

Ningbo Zhoushan port is the major iron ore transportation base in China. The port currently operates over 620 berths in its 19 port areas.

In August this year, Ningbo Zhoushan Port and Vale signed a memorandum of understanding seeking opportunities for cooperating on the supply of Vale's iron ore products to Chinese customers.
