Newly established Chinese port business operator, Shandong Port Group, plans to form eight group companies to further promote logistics business locally.

Huo Gaoyuan, chairman of Shandong Port Group said, “We are going to establish eight group companies for better layout and development of transportation industry locally.”

The first of the eight companies, Shandong Port Land Sea International Logistics Company, has been formed, which will be headquartered in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province.

The other seven companies are expected to cover finance, equipment manufacture, technology and other related areas in the whole industry chain.

Shandong Port Group, set up in August this year, aims to consolidate local port resources for improving operation efficiency and ports competitiveness.
