The programme included sessions on Container Supply Chain (CSC) covering the value chain within maritime trade and the role ports and terminals play in it, and TECH TOC presenting a more technical focus, where exhibitors and operators would discuss how to take the sector to the next level.

The main themes of the CSC programme were covered with a "Business Intelligence Day", "Sustainability Day" and "Digitalisation Day" - the topics of relevance to the industry.

The day prior to the inauguration, Monday, delegates, speakers and exhibitors learnt about the Panama Port System on the Pacific and Atlantic sides, travelled along the waterway on board the Panama Railway to Colon and visited the locks of the expanded Panama Canal.

TOC Americas 2023 began Tuesday with a plenary session featuring Alberto Robinson, Vice President Operations and Engineering, Americas, DP World; Elvia Bustavino, Panama Maritime Authority’s deputy administrator and Oscar Bazan, CEO, and partner of Oscar Bazan LMT.

The CSC day will be completed with the following panels: "A business strategy for automation"; "Looking at the market, the search for resilience continues"; "Integration of maritime transport and supply chain management" and "Infrastructure development and hinterland connectivity", in which the most prominent players in the industry participated; while in the framework of TECH TOC the panel was on “The versatility of automation.”
