TOC Worldwide is still open for business – and more so than ever before!

In all my time working at TOC Events Worldwide I have never experienced anything that has had such a profound impact as COVID-19 on the port, shipping & supply chain industries. Of course, the events industry has been hit hard too, for obvious reasons.

The world’s ports – large and small – have seen their container volumes slump as a result of the pandemic and the concern the statistics suggest is that for the second quarter of the year this situation will remain the same.MTM20TEM-RR-Paul-Holloway.jpg

But as we all know… with major disruption potential opportunity can arise…

The industry has been using this time wisely, taking steps to improve its port technology infrastructure and overhaul its container yard fleets using the internet-of-things (IoT), artificial intelligence and blockchain.

We at TOC have also tried to use this time to make changes to the way we work.  In response to the latest guidance from the British Government, since Tuesday 17th March our team has been working fully from home. Our offices in London have been are temporarily closed, and we have cancelled all business travel.

However, we’re fortunate enough to have robust systems and policies in place that allow home working safely and securely, so please be rest assured that TOC is still open for business as usual and will remain fully so, to offer our help and support to you in these challenging times.

While we cannot predict exactly what the future will bring, we do know that this situation will pass! TOC will be here for you every step of the way and has been for the past 40 years, championing the container supply chain in the good times and the bad.  We will celebrate your successes and stand by you in your setbacks because that is what community means.

Once again, we do not foresee any disruption to the continuity of our services, but if you have any questions, or need any assistance, then I encourage you to get in touch with me at [email protected]

We do of course place safety first so keep an eye on the TOC social media platforms and web site for continuous updates on the status our products and services. Also – we will be working more closely with venues and other suppliers to ensure the safety of our clients. More details to follow.

TOC goes Digital!

With all the uncertainty around COVID-19, I am delighted to announce that TOC events is now going digital.

After much feedback from the industry, we will be holding a new series of webinars, with our first to take place on 26th May – “The New ‘New Normal’ – Will Supply Chains be the Same Again after Covid-19?”  You can register to listen live here.

TOC-site-seatrade-maritime-news.pngAs well as this, we will be offering a host of content including whitepapers, reports, handy infographics as well as all the latest news that affects you through our brand new newsletter and news portal here
