Xinsheng port launches trial operations

Xingsheng port, located in Chongqing, southwest China, has started the trial operations.

The port has commenced the operation of its newly constructed No.4 and No.5 multipurpose berths for the first phase project, enabling it to be the first port in the upstream of Yangtze river for handle  vessels of up to 10,000 dwt.

Xingsheng port plans to construct fourteen 5,000 tons-class berths, including ten multi-purpose berths, one ro-ro berth and three bulk cargo berths, with a designed annual handling capacity of 15m tons.

The first phase project started construction in 2017, including one 5,000 tonnes-class ro-ro berths and seven 5,000 tonnes-class multi-purpose berths.
