The five port areas include Daishan, Ma’ao, Baiquan, Jintang and Shenjiamen, covering major local petrochemical and offshore engineering projects.

Opening up of the extension projects for Zhoushan port will further promote oil and gas industry chain development locally and accelerate the economic growth of Zhejiang province.

Currently, Ningbo-Zhoushan port has 19 port areas with over 620 production berths.

In the first half of this year, Ningbo-Zhoushan port posted a cargo throughput of 640.55m tons, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year, ranking the top one of ten major domestic ports.
