Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) announced that the company’s Southeast Asia subsidiary has won an order for 50 sets of tractors for natural gas terminals in Singapore port.

Back in 2019, ZPMC had won a bid for supplying 100 tractors to PSA.

The new port equipment is expected to be delivered by July 2021, when the number of natural gas terminal tractors in the port of Singapore reached 160 so as to adequately support users in the transition to clean energy, said ZPMC.

It will be the first time for users in the port of Singapore to use natural gas-powered terminal tractors.

Despite the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Southeast Asia subsidiary of ZPMC jointly completed the trial production of the sample tractor in advance with Shanxi Automobile Group in early-2020, as well as the tractor inspection remotely.
