Net-Logic Wireless BNWAS attains USCG Approval

Net-Logic Wireless BNWAS attains USCG Approval

The Net-Logic wireless BNWAS was a world’s first; recently it attained the prestigious Wheel Mark certification, and this week it has been awarded the United States Coast Guard Approval.

The Net-Logic system employs a robust mesh network design and has now passed the most stringent of testing to attain the Wheel Mark and the USCG Approval; the system also recently passed a significant milestone of 2500 wireless modules in service.

Dave Norton, General Manager States:

“The USCG approval is the most sought after certification for US flagged vessels. This stringent testing process that is highly regarded in the States and we are delighted to be able to carry the USCG approval for the wireless BNWAS.”

The system was designed with the main points of installation time and costs in mind. It has been fitted on many yachts in a single day with no disruption to the interior or cabling infrastructure, meaning the yacht does not have to spend any unnecessary time out of service.

Most yachts, private or otherwise, now have to comply with the legislation; all vessels over 150gt will be in breach of compliance if they have not installed a BNWAS prior to the 1st July 2014 or the first survey thereafter.

Net-Logic provides simple solutions to complex problems throughout the marine industry around the world.
