Vertical centrifugal pumps for use in the smallest locations

Vertical centrifugal pumps for use in the smallest locations

SPX offers a range of centrifugal pumps from its Johnson Pump brand designed for high reliability in numerous offshore utility applications. This includes the innovative, space-saving CombiFlex series of vertical centrifugal pumps. The vertical build of these pumps combined with several suction and pressure flange positions enable them to fit into small locations, making them ideal where space is a premium on offshore platforms and ships.

A choice of materials and shaft sealing options enables these pumps to meet a wide range of applications including fresh and seawater pumping, bilge and ballast pumping, firefighting, diesel distribution, effluent and other general service pumping requirements. They provide high pump efficiency in a heavy duty design that uses a very rigid shaft to ensure reliability. The pumps have mechanical sealing to EN 12756, are available with the benefit of a top pull out principle using spacer coupling and are designed for easy maintenance. The CombiFlexBloc model has the impeller mounted directly on an extended motor or stub shaft to provide an even more compact unit with a standard coupling.

The CombiFlex pumps use a motor mounting flange which enables exact positioning and alignment of the electric motor. A coupling guard and protective elements between the lantern elements protect all the pump’s rotating and internal parts. They provide a compact, economic, space-saving solution for the transfer of thin, clean or slightly contaminated liquids and are available for capacities up to 1500 m3/h, heads up to 100 metres and working pressures of up to 10 bar.

CombiFlex pumps are part of Johnson Pump’s Combi-system which provides modular solutions using common components shared across different models. The reliability, modularity and flexible design options offered by these pumps helps to ensure high performance with low installation and ongoing maintenance costs.

With brands such as Johnson Pump, ClydeUnion Pumps, Bran+Luebbe and Waukesha Cherry-Burrell, SPX has vast experience in providing pumping solutions for all types of fluids and applications to the oil and gas industry. Offering a wide and flexible range of pump models, products are designed for efficiency, optimum performance, sustainability and straightforward maintenance. When choosing SPX as a partner, customers are supported throughout a system’s lifecycle: from experienced engineers to advise and help ensure the best solution is specified to match application and budget, through to a vast, global aftermarket support team that offers comprehensive services to help ensure machines remain efficient and reliable throughout their working life.
