With favourable weather conditions de-watering operations were completed at 1130 hrs on Tuesday.

“Preparations are underway to begin the operation to pump the water that remains in the car decks into the empty fuel tanks on the ship,” MCA said.

The vessel’s list has improved slightly to 47 degrees and expected to continue to improve slowly.

The plan is move the vessel to the port of Southampton either late Wednesday or early Thursday.
