As new CEO formally takes role, ship manager adds Athens office, appoints senior business development leader in Japan.
New Fleet Management Limited CEO Captain Rajalingam (‘Raja’) Subramaniam took the role of CEO on January 1, 2025, and has started the year with two significant announcements.
The company has opened a new office in Athens, a location that will serve as a hub for ship management operations. In December 2024, Fleet Management hired Yannis Maroulis as general manager for business development, with responsibility for opening the office and supporting European customers.
Kazutomi Uchida has been hired in Japan to spearhead client relationship management and business development for ship management and newbuilding in Tokyo, the company said. Uchida has over 35 years of experience in the shipping industry to the role.
“This announcement demonstrates our intent to sustain and grow our presence in key regions and segments. Coupled with our ambitions to uphold excellent client partnership, in their location, their language. Our team aspires to be a truly global business,” said Subramaniam.
