V.Group appoints Bob Bishop as chairman of Selandia

V.Group has appointed Bob Bishop as chairman of Selandia Ship Management that it acquired last year.

Bishop is taking on the role of chairman of Selandia in addition to his post as head of business development for V.Group. The company is aiming to grow Selandia's 140 vessel strong fleet.

“The acquisition of Selandia Ship Management provided us with an intriguing opportunity to further develop an already strong brand to meet tanker specific client expectations out of India and Southeast Asia,” said Bishop.

Martin Christiansen, group cco at V.Group, commented, “We are delighted to retain Bob’s experience and passion for ship management. He is an important link in the continuity of quality service to our clients.”
