Wallem Group is appointing a new managing director of ship management John-Kaare Aune, who joins from the Cayman Registry.
Aune will take up the new post at Hong Kong-headquartered Wallem from the start of July. His most recent post at Caymen Registry was as regional director, safety and compliance in Asia, and previously spent more than six years at the Norwegian Maritime Directorate including representing Norway on EU and IMO committees.
“He brings a wide range of technical, compliance, regulatory and operational experience. John has earned the respect and endorsement of maritime industry players with his constant focus on the needs of customers,” commented Frank Coles ceo of Wallem.
Aune said: “The opportunity to join Wallem was something I could not turn down. Our mission now is to realise the full potential that exists within the company for the benefit of our customers and to accelerate Wallem’s transformation.
