BYD and Cosco Shipping partner for automotive logistics

Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD and Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers are collaborating to promote China-made automotive exports.

The two parties have inked strategic cooperation agreement to enhance collaboration on automobile industry chain development and provide integrated logistics solutions for the exporting of Chinese automobile brands. 

BYD has established over 30 industry parks worldwide, mainly covering electronics, automobiles, new energy and transportation sectors. Its overseas sales volume increased substantially of 151% year-on-year in the first half of 2024. 

During January and September this year, Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers has transported 228,000 units of vehicle for export.

The company newly added five large-size LNG dual-fuel car carriers in the third quarter further optimised its fleet structure.
