China Communications Construction Company bags Italian port projects

China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) has announced the inking co-operation agreements with Italian authorities to jointly develop port projects in Italy.

According to the agreement, CCCC will co-operate with Genoa port authority to establish infrastructure investment platform. The two parties will pursue comprehensive cooperation for the upgrading and reconstruction of Genoa port.

Additionally, CCCC will work with the port of Trieste to evaluate local transportation network for further optimization and improvement on local sea-rail transportation facilities.

The agreements follow Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Italy.

Song Hailiang, general manager of CCCC also met the management team from Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri to explore cooperation opportunities on shipbuilding, offshore platform and steel structure.

CCCC is the largest port construction and design company in China. The company is principally engaged in the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, dredging and heavy machinery manufacturing business.
