Columbia adds Istanbul office

Ship manager Columbia Group is adding Istanbul to its office network as it seeks to grow its Turkish business.

The new Istanbul office is being headed up by Capt Ozgur Gunes and overseen by Xanthos Kyriakou and Johann Meyer from the Italian and German offices respectively.

The new office will offer a full range of services including technical and crew management.

Tanker pool management will also be available through UPT, as well as mental health and crew wellbeing services through One Care, and financing via Columbia Financing.

“We want to talk to you about managing your ships, about building vessels, about building barges and offshore units in Turkey,” said Mark O’Neil, President and CEO of the Columbia Group.
