IEC Telecom is expanding into Denmark with a primary focus on the maritime market.

The satellite communications provider is opening IEC Telecom Denmark in Copenhagen close to Kastrup Airport and the new office will be helmed by Peter Visby and Gordon Skinner.
The new office will primarily focus on the maritime business as well as serving the government and NGO community. It will not only serve the Danish market but also support clients and partners in Norway, Sweden, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
“IEC Telecom has grown significantly in the Scandinavian market since 2012 when IEC acquired Tradee Telecom in Norway, and then opened a new office in Sweden in 2014. IEC Telecom has become a significant player in the Northern European market,” said Yves Emilian, founder and president of IEC Telecom.

The company plans to appoint new pre-sale engineer to support the resellers and the VSAT customers in this region.
Peter Visby, md of IEC Telecom Denmark said: “The Scandinavian maritime market highly demands affordable and flexible communication solutions for crew retention, remote offices, remote monitoring and maintenance. This is what drives providers like us to work on more comprehensive satellite solutions.”
