Imtech and Danelec Marine in VDR data deal
Imtech Marine have announced an extension of their remote accesss service to include data from Danelec Marine’s VDR Systems.
The deal announced at Marintec China 2013 will provide data from Danelec VDR Systems to ship managers via Imtech Marine’s global technical assistance centre (GTAC). The two companies said it would benefit managers in terms of safety, control, optimisation and cost.
“We are very pleased to add VDR data from Danelec Marine to our Imtech remote access solutions. The big advantage is that this service provides not only information of the VDR itself, it will also open up all primary navigation equipment data recorded by the VDR to our customers”, says Frank Berends, global manager remote services at Imtech Marine.
All VDR related data can be conveniently presented on a “dashboard” on the ship manager’s PC or tablet.
“We have basically created a flexible solution which allows extremely easy and efficient transfer of VDR data to shore without being limited by satellite data capacity,” said Hans Ottosen, ceo of Danelec Marine.
Imtech Marine are exhibiting at Hall N1, Stand G51.
