Informa Markets Maritime launches Digital Maritime Week

Brands from across Informa Markets Maritime have come together to launch Digital Maritime Week, where a series of live maritime-focused webinars will take place between 22 – 26 June 2020 and be available to join from all around the world.

Over the five days, ten free-to-join webinars, interviews and Q+A sessions will focus on the impact of the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic upon both key sectors across the global shipping market and the critical challenges impacting its community.

The full Digital Maritime Week agenda is available to view online, where key topics up for discussion include an update on IMO 2020 implementation; a look towards seafarer safety and a chance to evaluate digitalisation across the market. Each session is curated by a well-known brand within Informa Markets Maritime and delivered by a line-up equally well-known faces from across the industry, including an opening a keynote from Esben Poulsson, Chairman of The International Chamber of Shipping.

“In order to support the global shipping market through this turbulent period of time, we recognise a clear value in bringing exceptional live content to life. We are therefore delighted to be able to collaborate closely with our colleagues across Informa Markets, including brands such as Expomaritt Exposhipping, Marintec China, Seatrade, Sea Asia and TOC Events Worldwide to be able to offer our market Digital Maritime Week; which will provide an innovative digital experience that delivers truly rich, meaningful content,” commented Emma Howell, Director of Channel & Partnership Marketing- Maritime for Informa Markets.

Digital Maritime Week will also support the Day of the Seafarer 2020 on Thursday 25 June by working closely with Mission to Seafarers to raise awareness of the needs of global seafarers and their families.

Taking part in Digital Maritime Week is free and registration will open early June. For more information on the brands involved, the full agenda and to register your interest, visit the Digital Maritime Week website.
