KOTUG and Petroconsult have formed a joint venture which will provide operational and towage services for Arab Petroleum Pipelines Co SUMED.

The joint venture KOTUG Petro Maritime (KPM) is 80% owned by KOTUG and 20% Petroconsult and a long term contract with SUMED to provide operational services and carry out towage operations including FSRU operations at their Ain Sukhna terminal located in the Red Sea, Egypt.
KOTUG is deploying two 80 ton Rotortugs for the contract. Both tugboats will be operated by native Egyptians supported by local shore staff.

KPM aims to leverage the impressive reputation, experience, technology, and practical “know how” of KOTUG International and Petroconsult,” said Ard-Jan Kooren, ceo of KOTUG International.
The joint venture aims to provide maritime services to Egypt's oil and gas and other terminals.
