LiquiBurst underwater cleaning coming to Greece
Nick Segredakis Diving Limited (NSD) and USM Group have finalised a cooperation agreement to bring LiquiBurst underwater cleaning to Greece.
The technology, which can clean over 2,000 sq m in an hour without any mechanical or high pressure contact to the surface, will be available in Greece in the near future.
Sea water is pumped to the device at 120 bar and a diver-friendly, low pressure, vapour saturated jet is emitted. The jet impacts poriferous objects including fouling and concrete, but leaves smooth elastic surfaces including ship coatings, human skin and rubber gloves unaffected.
"I didn't believe that this could be true until USM staff came and demonstrated the equipment in Piraeus," NSD's George Savvidis commented. "A diver placed his hand against the wall and clean two year old barnacles and mussels through his spread fingers. It took him seconds to complete a spot until we could see the surface."
Exhibiting in hall one at stand 1.528, Nick Segredakis Diving will be showcasing LiquiBurst along with its range of services.
