MAN Diesel & Turbo and CCS sign new technical cooperation agreement
MAN Diesel & Turbo and China Classification Society (CCS) are furthering their collaboration with a new technical cooperation agreement signed at Marintec China 2015.
Under the agreement MAN and CCS will cooperate on intelligent ship research relating to data exchange, online monitoring and online services.
The new agreement comes under a framework agreement for technical cooperation signed in 2013. The new agreement was signed by Wayne Jones, MAN executive board member for sales from 1 January 2016 and Sun Feng vice president CCS.
“This signing represents just the latest step in our collaboration with CCS, one which I am certain will last for many years to come,” Jones said. “The Chinese market is of great importance to MAN Diesel & Turbo and, by allying ourselves with such an important player, we are positioning our technology – and leveraging our know-how – optimally.”
“MAN and CCS have established a strong and reliable relationship throughout these recent years”, said Sun Feng of CCS. “Meanwhile, we look forward to our cooperation in intelligent ship research and a successful outcome in the years to come.”
