The first sailing from China’s Xingang will commence in mid-May this year.

The combined service will offer direct weekly coverage from North, Central and South China to South Africa, Angola and Congo with a total of 13 panamax vessels, nine from NileDutch and four from PIL.

The weekly port rotation will run from Xingang to Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Singapore, Durban, Cape Town, Pointe Noire, Luanda, Singapore and back to Xingang.

“The cooperation between the two companies aims to offer their customers a better service level and more convenience. Furthermore, it will enable the companies to improve their efficiency and competitive position, and respond to developments in the market,” PIL and NileDutch said in a joint statement.
