SapuraKencana unit in $20m subsea services deal

SapuraKencana Petroleum continues to rake in the offshore oil and gas services contracts with its Allied Maritime & Equipment unit recently awarded a MYR62m ($19.8m) contract for subsea services.

The four-year contract is for the provision of subsea inspection Services for Carigali Hess’ facilities with Carigali Hess Operating Company, it said in a stock market announcement.

“The contract comprises of subsea services, which includes the inspection of Carigali Hess jackets, pipelines and floating storage and offloading vessel.

“SapuraKencana will also provide diving equipment, a remotely operated vehicle, a support vessel, personnel and inspecting/recording equipment as well as tools and spares required to perform the services and other work,” the company added.

The contract would contribute positively to the group’s earnings, SapuraKencana said.
