The South Korean-built 81,500 dwt vessels are expected to be delivered by April 2014.

Two of the ships will be delivered while under charter, the first on an index-linked time charter at the Baltic average plus 13% until the second quarter of 2016, the second vessel on a time charter until the end of 2014 at $15,881 net per day.

The third vessel will be delivered to its new owner when its time charter expires in the second quarter.

Last month the company launched a bond issue worth up to $200m with the proceeds marked for fleet expansion.
