TMS Cardiff Gas has exercised options for two VLGCs at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and has secured 10-year charters for the newbuilds.

The 78,000 c um LPG carriers are due for delivery in Q4 2017 and will go 10-year time charters to Gunvor Group subsidiary Clearlake Shipping.

The newbuilds will add TMS Cardiff Gas’ existing fleet of four LPG carriers. “The group maintains its appetite for further growth in the sector, which is reflected in additional capacity made available by HHI,” the company said.
