Vroon acquires bunker firm Petrolmar

Shipping firm Vroon has acquired all shares in Italian bunker player Petrolmar.

Petrolmar operates three bunker barges from the Italian ports of Genoa, Savona, La Spezia and Marina di Carrara, plus two bitumen tankers in San Matteo and San Lorenzo.

“For the time being, no changes will be made to the organisation or operations of the company [Petrolmar],” Dutch ship operator Vroon said in a statement.

Vroon operates and manages a diverse fleet of approximately 160 vessels comprising of livestock carriers, offshore support vessels, bulk carriers, containerships and oil tankers.
