China’s financial service provider China Development Bank Leasing (CDB Leasing) has ordered four bulk carriers from New Dayang Shipbuilding.

Four wholly-owned special purpose companies of China Development Bank Leasing have entered into shipbuilding contracts with New Dayang Shipbuilding, a shipbuilding unit of SUMEC, for the construction of four 63,000 dwt bulk carriers.

The deal is beneficial to fully leverage the advantages of the transaction and increasing the market share of the company in the bulk carrier vessel market and is consistent with the companys business development strategy, said China Development Bank Leasing.

China Development Bank Leasing and SUMEC established co-operation in 2018, and have collaborated on the construction of 14 bulk carriers.
