China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai) has entered into shipbuilding contract with Eastern Pacific Shipping via online meeting for the construction of four plus two 7,000 equivalent units car carriers.

The series of the dual fuel car carriers ordered by Eastern Pacific Shipping will be 199.9 metres in length and 38 metres width, equipped with two 2,000 cubic metres LNG gas storage tanks.

In June this year, Eastern Pacific Shipping made its maiden order at China Merchants' Jinling shipyard to build up to six car carriers.

The new deal brings the total car carrier orders placed by Eastern Pacific Shipping at China Merchants’ shipyard to 12 vessels.
