The vessel, re-named as LNG Croatia, is the first LNG-FSRU convention project Chinese shipyard had delivered, which is also a milestone for Hudong Zhonghua to strengthen LNG industry-related business.
Golar signed the deal last year to provide its 140,205 cu m vessel Golar Viking and convert it to a FSRU for the Krk project. Hudong-Zhonghua won the deal and its unit Huarun Dadong shipyard completed the conversion works.
The vessel will be used for clean energy supply to local electricity generators on the island of Krk.
