China’s New Dayang Shipbuilding inked shipbuilding contracts with two Chinese shipping companies, Taizhou Mingxing Shipping and Suzhou Xinxin Shipping, for the construction of two 59,990 dwt bulk carriers.

Each of the company ordered one bulk carrier at the shipyard respectively.

Upon the delivery, the vessels will be deployed for domestic shipping operations.

Suzhou Xinxin shipping previously ordered one 59,990dwt bulk carrier in 2018 at New Dayang Shipbuilding, which is scheduled for delivery after China’s Spring Festival.

New Dayang Shipbuilding was formerly known as Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of bankrupted Sinopacific Shipbuilding. The shipyard was taken over by state-owned SUMEC Group and reopened in 2018.
