It is the first time Sea Consortium, the company behind container common feeder line X-Press Feeders, has ordered newbuildings at SWS
The vessels, developed by Shanghai Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI), will be in 272.5 metres length and 42.8 metres width, and meet the requirements of EEDI phase 3.
The shipyard said the signing of the contract was a good start for collaboration between SWS and Sea Consortium which could further improve the yard’s position in global containership market.
