The deal includes a firm order of eight 1,800 teu boxships and an option of another four same type of vessels.
The ships are scheduled for delivery during 2022 and 2023.
StarOcean Marine is engaged in feeder service between China and Japan.

The containership owner StarOcean Marine has placed an order at private Chinese shipyard Yangzijiang Shipbuilding for the construction of up to twelve 1,800 teu containerships.
