CDB Leasing buying seven bulkers from SFL Corp

CDB Leasing (International) Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing, is acquiring seven bulk carriers from SFL Corporation.

CDB Leasing (International) Company is to purchase the vessels from seven single ship companies owned by SFL Corporation, at a total cost of $100m.

The deal will increase the market share of the company in vessel market and is in consistent with the company’s business development strategy, said CDB Leasing. 

The vessels are scheduled for delivery at the end of this year, which are being built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.

As the end of June, CDB Leasing operates a bulk carrier fleet of 115 vessels.
