CDB Leasing inks sale-leaseback deal for six ultramaxes with Oldendorff

China Development Bank (CDB) Financial Leasing has entered into a sale-and-leaseback deal for six ultramax bulk carriers with Germany’s Oldendorff Carriers.

CDB Leasing will acquire the six ships at a price of $137.1m and lease them back to Oldendorff.

CDB Leasing said the deal will help to increase its market share in vessel leasing, which is in line with the company’s business development strategy.
