The acquired firm is Geological and Metallurgical Laboratories (GML), a specialist, multi-discipline testing laboratory focused on chemical, mechanical, metallurgical, civil, environmental testing, calibration, failure analysis and geological investigations, as well as assisting industries in establishing laboratories and training personnel.

“This is an important acquisition by IRClass,” said Arun Sharma, chairman and managing director of IRClass, “enabling us to capitalise on the good market reputation of GML for reliable, high-quality testing.

“The top-line of IRClass’ business will be enhanced with the acquisition of these activities. IRClass, with its technical strengths and national and international presence, will help scale up this line of business significantly,” he added.

The acquisition of GML by IRClass follows another recent successful acquisition, that of Safess Quality Management, which deals with the inspection of cryogenic vessels.
