John Fredriksen appoints ceo to manage family assets

Jo Lunder will take up position as head of the Fredriksen Group in September, managing John Fredriksen's assets and investments.

Lunder will work closely with Fredriksen and his daughters Kathrine and Cecile Fredriksen to control the family's stakes in maritime and offshore companies including Frontline, Golden Ocean, and Seadrill.

Before resigning recently, Lunder was ceo of telecom operator VimpelCom and has previously held positions as president of Ferd Capital in Norway, and president and ceo of IT infrstructue company Atea. He currently holds the post of chairman of EVRY, a large Nordic IT company

“Jo and I will now build a strong structure and develop a small group of highly qualified investment professionals managing our family’s financial and industrial assets in an efficient way," commented John Fredriksen.
