LOC open new office in Seoul

London Offshore Consultants (LOC) have opened up shop in the South Korean capital Seoul.

The new office will be headed by country manager Zhoongkeun Kim, a senior engineer and warranty surveyor. According to Jon Walker, Regional Head of Asia for the LOC Group, the new office has won is first job having been appointed marine warranty service provider for the loadout and sailaway of piperack modules from South Korea to Canada.

"We currently work with many Korean shipyards undertaking offshore construction for global projects," Walker added. "There is also substantial international work undertaken by Korean offshore companies insured domestically, so LOC Seoul will now be able to service these clients directly.”

The company is in the process of recruiting more local staff for the office.
