Four of the seven 8,900 ceu multi-fuelled car carriers will be constructed by Jinling Shipyard and the other three will be built by Jiangnan Shipyard.
The first batch of the two vessels are due for delivery by the end of November 2025, two more will be delivered by the end of March 2026; the other three are scheduled for delivery by the end of October 2025 and March 2026 respectively.
Operating the largest self-owned car carrier fleet in domestic market, Anji jointly established automobile supply chain company, Cosco Shipping Car Carrier, with Cosco Shipping Specialized Carrier and SIPG Logistics to develop logistics services for automobile transportation last year.
In 2022, China automobile export volume was 3.11m units, achieved a substantial growth and posted an increase rate of 54.4% year-on-year.
