Bestway Marine and Energy Technology has signed four plus four multi-purpose bulk vessel newbuild contract with Schiffahrtskontor tom Worden GmbH & Co. KG via its subsidiary Dajin Heavy Industry.

The eight 5,300 dwt multi-purpose bulk carriers contract consists of four firm vessels and four options, which are scheduled for delivery before July 2024 and July 2025 respectively. 

The total contract value is $88.8m, accounting for 108% of the company’s revenue in 2020, which is expected to bring positive effect to the company’s performance for the period of 2022 and 2025.

The vessels signed this time are a common multi-purpose vessel type which has a large market demand in European market, we believe this deal has a low default risk, said Bestway.
