The order follows the announcement last week of four similar new buildings at Chengxi Shipyard. The latest quartet brings China Navigation's orderbook of Deltamarine-designed B.Delta37 vessels to 20 units.

The 39,000dwt handysize bulk carriers will be deployed in the company's dry bulk division, Swire Bulk.

Ouhua has already produced four multipurpose vessels (MPVs) to Swire Shipping, China Navigation's liner shipping division, and has further orders from the company for eight 31,000 dwt MPVs and four 22,000 dwt MPVs.

Tim Blackburn, China Navigation's Managing Director commented "China Navigation is very pleased to be strengthening our partnership with Ouhua and we look forward to collaborating again on the B.Delta37 project."
